LeBron James Made Los Angeles Lakers History Against Wizards

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Washington Wizards in Washington, D.C.

During the game, four-time MVP LeBron James made Lakers history by moving ahead of Nick Van Exel (2,749) for tenth on the team’s all-time assists list.

Following Van Exel, the next player for James to pass will be James Worthy (2,791).

James is in his sixth season with Los Angeles and has averaged 8.0 assists per contest over 344 regular season games with the franchise.

He came into the evening with averages of 25.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 53.6% from the field and 41.7% from the three-point range in 66 games.

The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 43-33 record in 76 games.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Following their matchup with Washington, the Lakers will play their next game on Saturday afternoon when they return home to host Darius Garland and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Los Angeles.

James was the first pick in the 2003 NBA Draft (out of high school) and is in his 21st season in the league.

In addition to the Lakers, he has also spent time with the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers (twice).

He is a four-time NBA Champion and made 20 straight All-Star Games.
