Brad Pitt experienced an ‘awkward run-in’ with his former in-laws while attending a small gallery exhibition in Beverly Hills amid his bitter divorce from Angelina Jolie.

While on a date night with his new girlfriend Ines de Ramon, the two-time Oscar winner, 60, bumped into his ex-wife’s father, Jon Voight, and older brother James Haven.

Both Pitt and de Ramon, 31, who the movie star began dating last February,

were said to have been ‘polite and acknowledged them’ back.

James — who was most recently pictured in public with his father in October 2022 — admitted that he saw it as his duty to ‘protect’ his sister’s six children amid the tumultuous divorce and the resulting negative publicity for the sparring exes.

The source added: ‘James was amicable and acknowledged Brad, but I didn’t see them talking, they were mostly stood apart for the duration of the event speaking with friends’

‘He just held me and said he loved me, and I know he’s so happy for me. And, um, thank you for that.’
