Iowa sensation Caitlin Clark is a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and their star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
One such anecdote about her likeliness had previously made it to The Herd with Colin Cowherd, where they talked about her penchant for the Kansas team.
NFL reporter Peter Schrager, on this note, shared the first time he crossed paths with Clark.
It was in 2022 when Schrager was at the NFL Combine and coincidentally, Iowa’s Women’s basketball team was staying at the same hotel.

The Women’s Big 10 Tournament and the Combine were scheduled around the same time, and this was where the Sports Information Director of the Iowa team introduced the two. “You know our star player Caitlin, she’s a die-hard Chiefs fan, she loves Mahomes,” recalled Schrager further mentioning that the SID put her on a text chain with Clark.
