“I Don’t Know Anybody Better” – Raymond Felton Claims Carmelo Anthony Is a Better Scorer Than the Legends Lebron James, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan

Raymond Felton recently appeared on the “Run Your Race” podcast, making a bold statement about his former teammate, Carmelo Anthony .

He asserted that Anthony was a superior scorer to other legends like the late Kobe Bryant Michael JordanLeBron James , and Kevin Durant.

He emphasized Anthony Carmelo‘s ability to make baskets from any area of the court, which made him more versatile compared to the legends.

Thus, with his comparisons, he set Melo on a different pedestal, which has already raised a storm in the basketball community.

That dude, just the way he can score, how easy it is for him, I don’t know nobody who’s better, to be honest with you. I’m talking Tracy McGrady, I’m talking about MJ, I’m talking about Kobe, LeBron, all these guys. The way he used to score at every level, I don’t know nobody who’s better, for real. Raymond Felton said

Furthermore, he recalled a time when he witnessed Melo dominate opponents consistently. Also, his physicality and excellent scoring ability differentiated him even from Kevin Durant.

Comparing Melo to the icons above felt like an extraordinary statement. Although his comments were met with skepticism, his remarks only served to provide insight into the remarkable talent of Anthony. However, there’s no denying that Melo was a generational talent who did great in the league.

Carmelo Anthony explains why he never thought he would make it to the NBA

Carmelo Anthony’s dream was to one day compete in the NBA and despite being highly regarded, he had doubts whether he would make it to the league. He was selected as the third overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft, and he then proceeded to enjoy a career that elevated him to the status.

Carmelo Anthony made this known while speaking with Dwyane Wade on “The Why.”

NBA to me was like The Wizard of Oz. It was like ‘No, that’s impossible to make it.’ You get so hammered down, ‘You would never make it, you would never make it, you would never make it.” Carmelo Anthony said

However, he ended up having a stellar career in the NBA, where he enjoyed his best time as a Knicks player. He eventually became a scoring legend and led to 10 All-Star nominations.

Melo is living proof that perseverance indeed breeds success as he didn’t give up when the doubts crept in. Although he ended his career without an NBA title to show for, he still made a name for himself as an established icon.
