«The other side of Jolie!» Mind-blowing facts about the actress’s early life and path to success that only few know

For those who don’t know, A. Jolie was born on June 4, 1975 to the spouses Marcheline Bertrand and Jon Voight.

She has Slovak and German roots from her dad and French, German, Dutch and Canadian roots from her mom. Sadly, the future star was only 1 when her parents divorced.

The children stay with the mother and later moved to New York.

There, Jolie began to take interest in acting and she was supported by her mother. Only few know that she changed her surname into Jolie because of the hatred to her father.

Her heart broke into pieces when her mother passed away of breast cancer in 2007. She has always been in a close relationship with her brother who was her biggest supporter even after her hurtful divorce from Pitt. Already at 14, Jolie participated in fashion shows and photo shoots.

Her acting debut was in the film «Hackers» where she crossed paths with her first husband Johnny Lee Miller. Her second major role was in «The Power of Fear». In 1999 she took part in «Interrupted Life» which brought her an Oscar as well as Golden Globe.

No one would deny that her breakthrough role was in «Mr. and Mrs. Smith». She co-starred with Pitt and it was on the set of this film the chemistry between them arose. Her second marriage was with actor Billy Thornt which lasted 3 years and left a deep mark on her.

What concerns her romance with the Hollywood actor, he became her next husband with whom she expected a child in 2006. Surprisingly, only after 7 years of engagement they got married. Sadly, their official union ended in divorce 2 years later.

Jolie has 6 children the three of whom are her biological ones from Pitt. The other three are adopted. They all bear the surname «Jolie».
