Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes shared their amusing taunting strategy in case Justin Tucker failed to make a field goal

Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes expressed their readiness to tease Justin Tucker in case he missed a field goal on Sunday, as shared with Pat McAfee.

Following the Chiefs’ triumphant victory over the Ravens with a final score of 17-10 in the AFC Championship on Sunday, star players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce can’t seem to let go of their pre-game encounter with Baltimore kicker Justin Tucker.

This incident, captured in a video posted by NFL Network National Correspondent James Palmer, unfolded before the Chiefs’ impressive win at M&T Bank Stadium.

As the teams warmed up for the crucial conference championship game, Mahomes was spotted playfully nudging Tucker’s ball holder aside.

Kelce joined in on the fun by clearing a path for Mahomes to practice his throws, casually tossing aside Tucker’s helmet and a couple of balls near the goal line. Tucker’s laughter could be heard in the video.

Tucker, in comments obtained by Baltimore Banner Sports, downplayed the incident, noting that his actions were nothing out of the ordinary. He stated, “I’ve been doing the exact same thing for 12 years, never had a problem with anybody.

I saw Patrick there trying to warm up and get some dropbacks. He asked me while I was on the ground stretching if I could move my helmet. I happily got up and moved my helmet out of the way, at least I thought it was enough out of the way.

And then Travis comes over and he just kicks my stuff, he throws my helmet. I thought it was all just some gamesmanship, all in good fun. But they seemed to be taking it a little more seriously.”

However, Mahomes and Kelce clearly took the incident to heart. Kelce did not hold back when discussing the matter on the New Heights podcast, stating, “If you want to be a f—- d— about it, you keep your helmet, your football, and your f—- tee right where the quarterbacks are warming up. They’re dropping back, their eyes are looking left, and they’ve got a helmet down by their feet.”

Furthermore, during an appearance on the Pat McAfee show on Wednesday, Kelce and Mahomes revealed that they had a taunt prepared to mock Tucker in case he missed a field goal during the AFC Championship.
